Description A wonderful selection of vinho verdes featuring wines from north and south Vinho Verde region starting with citrussy Loureiro from Lima Valley as a single varietal Colheita Seleccionada (selected harvest) and the luscious peach and apricot flavours of Alvarinho blends from Adega de Moncao along the northern border with Galicia. From Quinta Covela on the sunny banks of the Douro river at the southernmost tip of Vinho verde region you find the local grape Avesso with its floral, herbaceous and grapefruit notes and Arinto with melon and lime flavours. These wines are part of the new ‘Douro verde’ trend towards a drier style. Finally the case contains a delicious Loureiro fizz or espumante made in the Classic style with secondary fermentation in the bottle; time on the lees rounding out the fresh apple and citrus.
