DescriptionWhen designing a custom electronic enclosure, relying on pulling out the USB cable or battery wire to turn the device off looks messy and wears out your connectors. The KCD11 2-Pin Mini Rocker Switch gives your final prototype a clean, professional finish, giving users an intuitive way to control the power state.Whether you are designing a compact control box for electric motorcycle diagnostics or building a standalone IoT environmental monitor, this tiny switch is a mandatory mechanical component for polished hardware.Understanding SPST LogicThis switch operates on the simplest electrical logic available: Single Pole, Single Throw (SPST). It acts as a drawbridge on a single wire. When wiring your power supply, you simply cut your positive (Live / VCC) wire in half. You attach one end of the cut wire to the first pin, and the other end to the second pin. When pressed to “I” (ON): The internal metal contacts snap together, bridging the gap and allowing current to flow to your microcontroller. When pressed to “O” (OFF): The contacts physically separate, breaking the circuit and killing the power instantly.Snap-In Panel MountingLook closely at the sides of the black plastic housing in the product image. You will notice small, angled plastic ridges. These are friction-fit retention clips. To install this switch, you do not need mounting hardware. You simply cut a small rectangular hole (approximately 10mm x 15mm) into your plastic project box or metal faceplate, and push the switch through from the outside. The clips will compress and then snap outward, locking the switch permanently and flush against the panel.Wiring the TerminalsThe two metallic spades on the back can be connected in two ways:Soldering: You can solder your wires directly to the holes in the spades (ensure you use heat-shrink tubing to cover the exposed metal afterward to prevent accidental short circuits).Quick-Disconnects: The spades are perfectly sized for standard female crimp-on quick-disconnect terminals, allowing you to build modular enclosures where the switch can be easily unplugged from the main circuit board if the lid needs to be removed.Key Features:Tactile Feedback: Provides a firm, audible click so the user knows exactly when the power state has changed.High Voltage Rating: Rated for 250V AC mains power, but works flawlessly for 5V, 12V, and 24V DC logic circuits.Clear Indicators: Features high-contrast white “I” and “O” silkscreen markings to indicate the ON and OFF positions clearly.Technical Specifications:Model: KCD11Switching Action: Latching (Stays in the position you press it)Configuration: SPST (2-Pin)Maximum Current Rating: 3A (at 250V AC)Contact Resistance: ≤ 50mΩInsulation Resistance: ≥ 100MΩMechanical Life: > 10,000 cyclesMounting Hole Cutout Size: ~10mm x 15mm (Panel thickness dependent)Ideal Applications:Main power switch for custom Arduino and ESP32 project enclosuresE-mobility 12V lighting and accessory control dashboardsRepairing small household appliances (desk lamps, fans, audio gear)Toggle control for motorized robotics chassisPackage includes: 1× SPST 2 pin Switch
