La Patagua Semillon Moscatel Hodgkinson, natural wine, Chile, crisp but full of flavour, unfined and unfiltered so cloudy appearance. Like the red from the same producer, this natty number at £9.50 is exceptional value. The appearance is reassuringly cloudy so a wine with no clarification and the sulphites are pretty low at approx 50 mg/l. It is a little wild on the nose, yeasty but also with nice citrus and aromatic tropical notes coming through. The palate is excellent, crisp, clean, juicy but also textured. At 14.5% abv, this is not a light wine although is disguised as such. The the abv seems integrated into the wine. La Patagua is very tasty, very well put together wine. Is Vegan?
